What is this cable?

Got it in a box of Amiga floppy and power cables - would assume that it's Amiga related. The twist looks like an A2000 floppy cable, but it's 40-pin not 34-pin...
Any ideas?

It looks like an old IDE hard drive cable. When you mentioned 40 pins, that matches exactly.

Yup, if it's for 40 pins, it's an old style IDE cable. SCSI has 50 (or more) depending on the version.
