The winning bidder would not pay this broken A3500.
The same, again for sale, with start price much higher: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/231464009636 :(

If you are interested, just bid on this A3000 @ 19000EUR :uzi: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/231464011168  :)

If old Apple hardware can go for insane prices why shouldn't it be the same for Amiga.

But is it real? Something like this would extremely easy to fake (the only exception being the motherboard - that would be rather hard to fake) Why is there no close up of the motherboard? Something stinks here......
With a 99.2% feedback, I would not trust this seller as far as I could throw him.

The Amiga 3500 is legit.  It's a prototype A3000T, came out before the 3000T in one of C='s generic PC-style cases of the era, before they released the actual 3000T in the case people are more familiar with.  They were used internally at Commodore and I don't think ever made available for public sale.  When C= went bankrupt several of them "snuck out" during the ensuing chaos.  There's photos of one floating around on the net that was actually used as an internal CBM email server (before the Internet as we know it).  A neat piece of history!  :)

I'm wondering why the battery was left in to leak. I'd hope that for such a rare machine it would have been a bit more 'looked after'.

I'm going to go with this as my answer to that:

I recieved a call from my friend that were the winner of the first ebay auction on this A3500.

So he would like to compare this A3500 with mine, as he know that I have a real unit even with the A3500 draft manual ;p)

So the motherboard of the ebay auction one is a real A3500 REV II (the green PCB one).

But the A3500 were built into the Commodore PC 60 Tower (the high end commodore pc server).

On the backside of this selling unit there is a commodore A3000T silver sticker with model name, voltage input, FCC regulation, and stuff like that. So the A3000T was made after the the A3500. So it's impossible that it's the motherboard original casing.

So the tower is a real A3000T one with a Commodore PC 60 front pannel.

The Original A3500 doesn't wear this C= Silver sticker as it wasn't supposed to be sold to public.

Now the seller add the comment not an original Commodore front label sticker on its auction comment.

I don't think that the seller is a liar, he probably baught this machine like that years ago.

Anyway I'm wishing good luck with this auction.
