Poseidon With USB MOUSE , Goes belly up!

hi,

i have a weird problem here.

1. i have a Spider usb2.0 card
2. Poseidon 2.x Regged
3. updated input.device to 50.x

when i use my mouse all seems ok, every button etc works but it crash my whole setup randomly and pretty often also!.

today i had over 40 reboots :-o with the usb mouse connected,compared to NONE with normal mouse (mouseport)

i have tried to add freewheel to see if it helped, but it didnt , i am using muiwheelpatch aswell.

i NEED HELP! , this is getting way to annoying! :-(

ps:dont tell me to read the manual as now i am stressed out here, just GIVE me the info and that ASAP! :-)

Is the crashing entirely random? Or does it happen in particular applications (such as all MUI apps...)?

How have you set the USB mouse up in Poseidon? Is it a HID class or bootmouse class device?

I am using Poseidon V2.2, USB cheapo 3 button (configured as HID class mouse), scrollwheel mouse, attached to an Algor USB controller...no problems here. (running MUIWheel 1.4 and FreeWheel 2.1 (I think...not an Amiga atm...)...anyway the lastest version of these programs...)

Do you have the latest driver for the Spider USB card installed? Can you revert back to an older version, if you do have the latest version, and see if the problems persist?

Are you running any other hardware/software hacks that may clash/interfere with Poseidon? Can you catch any of the crashes with snoopdos or any other snooping software? If so, what does the log say?

Have you got your spider and mouse working correctly yet? I am about to order a spider II and want to make sure its going to work for me!! I have a real nice keyboard and a M$ optical mouse here ready to go.
