when updating from os4.1 to udate os 4 update 6
 do I download right to os  update 6
 or do I do in order 2-3-4-5-

You have to apply them all sequentially.

Must apply them all sequentially and in order.  I recently did a re-install on my SAM after installing a couple new SSD's and went from the barebones OS4 install disc install to Update 6 within about 12 minutes flat, was quick and went without a single hitch.
