modem help

hello,
could anyone suggest a good external modem for use with an A1200 (56k and lower).

i used a phonics pro with my 1200,
(default 56k settings), ...and  i have used an olitec speedcom2000  ...

Phonics pro was sold by Dixons...

it doesn't really matter what modem you use with your Amiga as long as it's an external serial one.

ahh...thanks, I'm not really a computer expert (more a retro enthusiast) so I'm sorry if that was a stupid question.

Uhh ... I might mention here ...
Are you in the city or are you in the country??
City phone lines are usuall fairly good and can
support a 56k modem but rurial ####ry phone lines
tend to be bad. I live in the country and the
best I can run is a 33k modem, a 56k just doesn't
work where I'm at.
So, depending on your phone lines, most any modem
will work. You can find good name brands really
cheap on EBay.
