System3 - Spammer or Messiah?

Hey, is anyone else getting suspicious emails from System3?

Email 1:

            "Presumably you are a mod?

Hello there, I wish to post something but cannot as the account hasn't been activated.

If you have access, can you please sort it, we have an announcement to  make, and I think your Amiga.ORG community will welcome it very much ;)"

Email 2:

"With respect...

Amiga.ORG is running the risk of being the very LAST site to know whats going on.

Can we have our account verified so we can post please?  Last time of asking, and then we'll assume you're not interested."
 
I sent a report to the mods but they are not online much.

Obviously the spam wasn't quite good enough. :/

Username 'system3' was me by the way, trying to inform all Amiga related sites of the imminent release of Putty Squad.

I private messaged 8 times several people, and its obvious that the messages were read, but absolutely nothing was done about it.

Just to bring up another salient point: That username STILL hasn't been allowed to post anything, which I think is pretty piss poor.

I appreciate that Amiga.org doesn't want spammers posting all manner of nonsense on your forums, but when it actually prevents posts of a pretty useful nature, I think you'll find your anti-spamming procedures are EXCESSIVE!

The reason for not wanting to post under this account was to not draw attention too early as to who it was that was responsible for the release.

So well done Amiga.org, you were the only Amiga related forum I couldn't post on.

You can delete the 'system3' account now, I would imagine it would still be requiring verification by a mod when that happens as well.

Sigh.

Er, were any of the people you messaged actually moderators? I don't think Kesa is. At any rate, we got the news in the end, that's the important part.

But more importantly, thanks for your effort in making this happen! I saw the interview over at Codetapper's page and didn't realize until then the level of effort that was involved. Well done - I'm looking forward to trying the game.
