A2000 expanded using no slots - pics
« on: November 17, 2013, 03:48:22 AM »
Okay, finally got around to playing with this some more.

So far, I've gotten the kipper2 8MB RAM expansion, minimegi 2MB chip RAM expansion, CFIDE68K IDE adapter for the CF microdrive AND CD-ROM, and an Indivision ECS for vga output.

Still looking for a 68030 or 040 expansion, but I think I'll probably go with a cpu slot card for that.

Enjoy!

Curtis

Adding some more pics.

BTW, the floppy drive is the smaller/skinnier drive so I glues a piece of plastic on the top to fill most of the gap.  Also attached a cover for the CF drive to match.

Also note the clearance from the "stack" to the drive support.  Kinda close.  Was going to add a Vortex board for DOS compatibility, but it was just too tall!

Clearance between the minimegi and the kipper2 board is VERY tight.  Fact is, they overlap a bit.  Rearrange a bit by putting the CFIDE68K on the bottom, then the kipper 2 board and everything snugs right down.

Used and extended cable for the vga output to attach to the first slot.
