A progress update: EasyNet Pro is being finished off this week and will enter testing stages shortly.  All being well and good, we hope to have the product ready for release in November along with the latest EasyNet.

We will update this thread with latest news.

Cool :)

It's based on AmiTcp4, right? What are the advantages over AmiTcp3 (GUI doesn't matter)? How much will it cost?

I had Easynet and never got it to work with either a wireless or wired pcmcia card, is this likely to change that?

Lots of customers are running EasyNet now.  If you need help, open a Support Ticket and we will be happy to assist you.

Can't wait for EasyNet Pro! Will the new version be a download for previous owners of EasyNet, ISO or something?

Also, totally off topic, but would you folks happen to have a spare, new set of the "Amiga A1200" and the "Amiga OS3.1 Workbench" books that came with the Magic Pack that could be purchased? Also, I would really like to get a book of, new if possible, AmigaDOS for OS3.5. I'm sure I may be able to download something like that but, I really love books! I really would like to get the books! :razz: Thanks AmigaKit!

The one advantage is the ability to use the lpr.device to print to network printers; I'm sure there are others as it is a "Generational" update and is suspected to better support the X-Surf 100's abilities...

I just checked: it appears that "lpr.device" (which I wrote back in September 2000) doesn't use the AmiTCP V4 API functions which are absent in AmiTCP V3. Those absent would be recvmsg() and sendmsg(). I don't know why I made "lpr.device" require the V4 API...

Thanks. I only need a stack for file transfers and some Aminet browsing using a PCMCIA network card, so I think I'll stick to AmiTCP 3.
