MorphOS: Bounty for JIT JS for Odyssey Web Browser
« on: October 03, 2013, 11:27:36 AM »
News from pampers

Yet another MorphOS.pl bounty is set for implementing a PowerPC code generator for Webkit, allowing it to compile JavaScript into native PowerPC code which in the end results in JavaScript executing faster (common called JIT JS). When bounty will be finished, this code will be implemented in the latest available version of Odyssey Web Browser. The bounty minimal sum is set to 800 €, estimated timeframe is 60 days since minimal bounty sum will be collected. Bounty taker is Mark „BigFoot” Olsen.

You can participate in this bounty here: http://morphos.pl/projekt.php?projekt=16

If anyone can get this done (other than maybe Fab) it would be Mark.
He's been really busy doing a lot of development work (some of which can't be talked about yet).
He is an amazing coder and an asset to the community.

Whoever does this, it would probably be worth talking with Cameron Kaiser of TenFourFox, as he's already done extensive work with Javascript JIT on PowerPC, and is quite an approachable guy.
