There is another A1000 for $2k with $3k BIN

Maybe we all can list our A1000 for $1000 or more and see who can sell it first at that price. I think they have free listings right now.
It could be a game.

I contacted the seller with the $2000 A1000 and tried to explain to him about his pricing.

He responded saying he had researched pricing and found the $2600 unit and that's what he based his pricing on.

Sent him another email telling that unit was the source of much derision here in the Amiga community.

Guess we'll see if he takes the hint.  NOT!

I have seen fully decked out Amiga 4000s for around that price, but not an Amiga 1000. It never even cost that new!

You can't reason with delusional people.  Let them list them for what they want and they will see the errors of their ways when nobody bids.

There are other tricks on ebay. Someone will sell an instruction manual, but only mention it's only the manual at the bottom of the page in small print. Occasionally people are not going to bother reading the description until after they have paid the money.
Also there is one now where framed photos of retro computers are up for sale.

I had one tool who bid on my Atari TOS 2.6 rom set on eBay $25 + $8 shipping to South America) thinking he just scored an Atari 1040STE computer!  He actually thought that's what he won and when he realized his error days after he won asked if he can cancel.  I told him sure but asked him WTF was he thinking! That he scored this for only $31 shipped??? LOL
