Superfrog HD: Amiga Effort or Classic Platforming Action?
« on: August 03, 2013, 12:09:32 AM »
Superfrog was one of two attempts to create an Amiga game to rival the original Sonic The Hedgehog. The game is fondly remembered by Amiga fans, but can a platformer that is now twenty years old capture hearts once more, or should the amphibious hero been left on of his lily pad?

The few reviews I've seen so far seem to agree that Superfrog would've been better off having been left in the past. Personally I wasn't too great a fan of the Alien Breed re-imaginings either. Frozen Byte beat Team 17 to it with Shadowgrounds.

SuperFrog was massively over-rated in the 1st place in my opinion. Mediocre, generic platform game with no real character or charm hidden behind some reasonably slick presentation. There's plenty of better Amiga platform games.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.
