Setting up CD in classic A1200
« on: June 23, 2013, 10:09:43 AM »
Hi all!

I have got out my A1200 tower that I want to demonstrate to my kids at school as part of their IT. The problem I am having is getting the cd drive to work. I have installed 3.1 from floppy but am struggling to get IDEFIX to work plus I don't have a key for it and don't want the reminders showing in case the students think it is stolen lol

I believe that 3.9 has a cd driver on it, is there any way to extract it from the cd on my pc and transfer it to a floppy then install it on my A1200?

The machine has the buffered 4 port is adaptor, 68040/PPC accelerator with graphics card and some form of zorro bus board in an Eyetech case.

Eventually I'd like to get 4.1 on it but have to find more memory somewhere.
