Mtec T1230/28 RTC Users Guide
« on: February 25, 2010, 08:04:03 AM »
Hi !

I have a Mtec T1230/28 RTC in my Amiga 1200 and have some Problems with it. I think it could be something with the Jumper setting on the Card. I searched by google for the Users Guide but found nothing.

Someone here got the Users Guide and could send it via eMail ?

Does anybody knows if the CPU (not the CoPro) on this Card needs a passive heatsink ? As I got the Card there was a passive heatsink in the box which was no longer fixed to the CPU. In all Pics of this Card, I can find in the Internet, there is no Heatsink on it...

I've got one of these cards myself (bought it new about 12-15yrs ago).

No - it doesn't have a heatsink as standard. Although it gets a bit warm, it doesn't need a heatsink - but fitting one (if there's room) wouldn't do any harm.  Perhaps your card came from a towered system?

Ok, Thanks !  I checked out if theres enough space to place the heatsink on the CPU. It really works... after placing the Heatsink i´m able to close the trapdoor; so I think i´ll attach it with heatsink glue.

Glad to hear it works.

Strange that you've been able to close the trapdoor - I can't fit mine - and that's without any heatsink!

I think it best keep the trapdoor off to retain some airflow though.

Can you post a piccy  - I'd be most interested in seeing what H/S you've fitted.

Thanks.

After gluing it, i´ll post some pics. The heatsink consists of three little black Alu Heatsinks placed together on the CPU.

Hi ,
I have the above accelerator card in my A1200. Was wondering if
anyone has a jumper wire from Pin 43 of the CPU slot running to the
front "Lattice Chip" Pin 29(?). My card had this jumper which was not
a factory install. It was rather sloppy which caused it to fall off the Lattice
chip. Here's some pics of where the wire ran. Does anyone know what this
wire does and where does it correctly hook up to on the Lattice chip?
Any info is greatly appreciated...

It's the German manual, no problems to get via Wayback machine.
