You can rely on protection via obscurity using an Amiga online so you don't really need AV. I think most Amiga viruses are bootblock on Floppies so unless you use them or really old ADFs there is very little risk. I bought Roadshow too. I am impressed and I believe there is a firewall included if you are feeling paranoid. I suppose running Samba and windows shares may be a risk without one. Not sure about defragging I think there are tools.

I would definitely install Virus-Z from aminet and immediately run a file check on your hard drive.  I went for many years, thinking that no-one would bother writing a virus for Amigas anymore, etc.

Recently I was setting up an A500 and noticed things acting wierd.  Installed Virus-Z and ran a scan.  It found the Ebola virus attached to a hundreds of the files on this newly set up computer (it got infected through some piece of software I installed and replicated itself).

Then I ran Virus-Z on my WinUAE setup that is several years old, and there, too was the Ebola virus.

This is an old virus from the 1990s, but it is still harmful.

I would install an anti-virus program especially if you plan to trade software with other Amigans or download .adf software from the internet.

Check out the link below, and yes, definitely do a virus check on everything you download. I've had virus's from things I've downloaded from aminet, so it's wise to check all downloads.
