« on: January 31, 2004, 05:50:50 PM »
So far on this blizzardppc card I have manged to boot but I have to pres down on the ram sockets toget it in to workbench but then I am stuck with checksum errors popping up every few seconds unles the ram sockets are pressed down.

Also the boot menu can;t be opened anymore for some reason.

what could be the problem and how can it be fixed?

If you have to apply mechanical pressure to the SIMM sockets to make the thing work, I would suggest you get the card serviced. It sounds like perhaps some of the solder joints connecting the simm sockets to the card are cracked.
