sound program question
« on: February 08, 2013, 02:34:17 PM »
installed a sound  program called  FX VER 1.1  ..basically it allows you to assign  drives  windows to a sound effect ..cant  seem to work out what sort of sound it is ..would like other samples ..an its unregistered ..which is annoying as im sure ill never be able to register it anyway ..
are there other  programs  that just assign a sound sample ..wave /iff  etc
to an event like windows  does ..just curious ..i remember i think a program like magic menu  did it but it takes over your system ..an i dont want that ..just the sound effects for the events..
anyone using or know of a similar  program?
A500 3.1/8meg/2gigscsi ...wants a 040
CD32/SX1/FMV/FLASHDRIVE/  wants sx32pro
A1200  os3.5 030/50/fpu/mmu/2flashdrives/cd/   indivision coming ..............wants a ppc/060  ACCEL

I've found this, but couldn't get it working correctly under WinUAE. Seems buggy, but it's worth giving it a try on a real Amiga because it seems to do exactly what you're looking for (so it says in docs)... you can assign sounds to all sorts of window/screen events:

http://aminet.net/package/util/cdity/WinSoundv1.4

It uses datatypes apparently, but I wouldn't give it anything other than 8bit IFF's. Hope you get it working. Let me know how it goes...
