Disk image device & DMS Files
« on: October 09, 2012, 03:55:57 AM »
Hello!

I've been trying to mount some DMS files using Disk image device (Fredrik Wikstrom version) but everytime I try the computer resets. One of those attempts succeded but when I tried to access the disk contents the computer rebooted and got stuck rebooting forever... I had to boot with no startup sequence and delete an XML file from ENVARC: DiskImage/ to stop it trying to mount the DMS on every reboot.

Well, as far as I can tell I have all installed correctly, I have xadmaster & xpkmaster libraries... everything listed on the requirements section of the guide (except AISS since that one is just recommended) but still the same problem. Any ideas?

My setup is an A4000D KS3.1 OS3.9 BB2 (Plus Thor's Ram & Shell Updates) and CyberstormPPC

Thanks in advance! :-)

Just an update... I noticed the DMS file is extracted to a temp directory as an ADF file and then mounted. It is then when the crash occurs. I tried mounting some other ADF files and the same happens so the problem really is: whenever I try to mount an ADF file, the software crashes. It no longer reboots instantly, now it shows a Software Failure dialog:

diskimage.device unit 0
Program failed (error #8000000B)
Wait for disk activity to finish.

Then the buttons Suspend and Reboot.

Any help will be appreciated.

Instant reboot is usually result from writing to low memory area. You could try installing Enforcer and send crashlog to author.

OK so I used MuForce (for some reason, Enforcer didn't work for me) and I got this:
