Directory Opus from Classic Workbench copying files guru
« on: October 16, 2012, 01:33:41 PM »
Afternoon all,

I'm having some problems using Classic Workbench 3.9, It's running on an A2000 with a GVP GForce    030 board. I Have a mechware scsi card reader, System is installed onto a 4gb CF Card (have also tried a 2gb card) System partition is 1gb, with another spare partition of 3gb or so. The problem I have is I find that copying from one volume to another with DOpus causes a crash suspend or reboot. Recently I have added an 18gb Scsi drive for testing, copying from compact flash to hdd also causes the problem, however if I copy the files over in Workbench not using DOpus, there is no crash.

I have only been able to use SmartFileSystem (v1.26) so far, PFS Either causes crashes or when formatting a partition it shows as all space used after a format.

Any help, especially from GVP Users would be great, SCSI ROM Has been updated recently to 4.15, however was 4.5 though that version also gave the same problems.

Thanks in advance,

Robert.

Are you attempting to copy many, many files, say all the files on a partition? Does the system appear to be copying the files for a while (perhaps until your ram fills up) and then crash?  After you reboot and look for those files that seemed to copy before the crash to the destination, do you find the files not on the destination?
