Share Amiga's Keyboard and Mouse over Serial to Linux
« on: August 01, 2012, 12:36:49 PM »
OK so I have an Amiga 500, which I have just recently put on my desk next to a tiny TV and I love the setup.  Its really cool being able to just plop over to my desk and fire up my Amiga.  The problem is that I have limited desk space and I don't really have room for two sets of keyboards and mice.  I run Linux, and I know it is possible to configure the Amiga to act as a keyboard (a serial terminal) to the Linux box, but is there any way for it to share the mouse over serial as well?  Linux still has support for serial mice... I was hoping to be able to pop a special disk into my 500 when I want to use the PC, automatically setting it up to send keyboard and mouse information over serial, and then when I want to use the Amiga, just pop in a regular workbench disk.
