GVP 030 Combo SCSI Issues
« on: August 02, 2012, 09:41:49 PM »
Hey all,

I'm having problems with a GVP 030 Combo Setup,

I keep getting Checksum errors reported,

I've been using a SCSI Card Reader with a 4gb CF Card (300mb Boot partition)

Also tried a known good (Pulled from a working HD8+ Setup) 2gb SCSI Hard disk

Also tried a variety of cables and terminators

The Chain is as follows

Controller---Card Reader---Term Enabled on Card reader.

Not sure if the 030 Board has Auto Term for it's external connector (As the HD8+ does)

Any Combo owners around? Any advice appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

Robert.

It does sound like a termination problem; the Combo is terminated at its end, but many SCSI devices don't terminate properly and placing a separate termination device on the other end is the best solution.

SCSI_CONTROLLER----HDD/CD-ROM----TERMINATION
