A4000D with CSPPC and Mediator
« on: April 13, 2012, 06:04:59 PM »
Hello!

I got this setup at my parents home but I haven't used it since 2003-04 I believe. The PSU broke but other than that it was working well. There is a problem with audio, only one chanel is playing audio and AFAIK this can be fixed by replacing a component on the motherboard. The battery has been replaced by me and I hope that it hasn't began to leak.

So considering that the battery is ok what would this be worth? would anyone be interested in it? I will include the original case as well if desired, I still got it. I will include a Voodoo 4 gfx card, SB 128, a 100 Mbit networkscard that I've used. The Voodoo 4 workd very well with games like Heretic II, Shogo, Wipeout 2097 etc. I used a Voodoo 3 before that but the Voodoo 4 is better IMO.

That computer has been the love of my life and it's amazing how much use I've gotten out of it. I even used it to watch some DivX movies using AMP in HAM8. It wasn't perfect but it worked more or less. Good fun connecting it to a TV and watch movies using AGA.

It also got a FastATA card.

Any bids? It's rare and I love it do I don't know if I want to give it up but it would be good to know what kind of money I could expect. It might be worth it since I'm not using it right now and I might never use it again so it's better to sell it to someone who wants one.

Let me know :)

Hi mate, looks like you have a nice setup overthere (and expensive one ;) ). My suggestion is - have a quick look at amibay.com and check prices.

I have a working PSU for A4000D : http://cgi.ebay.fr/PSU-A4000D-A4000-Amiga-Commodore-Alim-/251035349912?pt=FR_GH_Informatique_Ordinateurs_Ordinateurs_de_Collection&hash=item3a72df7398

I got a working PSU too but it lacks one of the connectors needed for the Mediator. I haven't bothered to fix her and I think that I never might do so so I thought that I should see if there where some interest in buying it from me. I'm not sure yet, I've had her for so long and I'm not sure that I want to give her up but I thought that I should ask.

it's not worth anything, ship it to me and I'll get rid of it for you...

Seriously there are collectors on the e(vil)bay that could easily pay big money for it.
