Modded PC drive is S L O W
« on: March 23, 2012, 06:09:32 PM »
Okay, I just did mod for my Samsung PC drive. Now it works on Amiga, supports READY signal and everything is fine... or is it? My modded Samsung PC HD drive as Amiga's DD drive is about half slower than original Amiga's integrated drive. My original drive reads DDs, but i did the mod, that I could use HD disks as DD by taping the HD hole. Modded drive formats and reads HDs as DDs perfectly but... Is it possible to get it ANY faster!?
Thanks
-Eemil
Just some beginner stuff: 2 Amiga 500s, external FD, 512kb expansion mem, RGB Scart, some random joysticks , Amiga mouse (Tank model) and some floppies... And a dead Commodore 64C with Datassette cassette drive and RGB->composite wire. And some tapes, self made with computer and normal recordable cassette deck :)
