New 68k based free distribution
« on: February 27, 2012, 09:16:42 AM »
Hello,

how some of you already know i am working on a distribution that is combining Aros 68k and "68k" to something new. The vision behind it is to merge 68k and Aros to something new that is free and can be used on both real hardware and emulation.

First short descriptions and screenshots are here:
http://www.natami-news.de/html/aros_vision.html

It is in testing/optimization phase, more will follow.

Free (no copyrighted components)
Huh? You must be confused somehow, or are you really going to remove all APL code?

All material is copyrighted unless if placed in public domain (or unless if certain amount of time has passed since the death of the author). I think you should fix that statement.

You probably meant to say that it doesn't require any proprietary 3rd party components.

Yes then I was not exact in that point. It includes copyrighted components/software but with the permission to distribute and use it freely.

I can only give you the email of the artist that created it. Perhaps he has the number of his model :-)

I am right now replacing the icons with glowicons then it could be run on a A1200. Jason (the maintainer of Aros 68k) and some other want to do it. At the moment I run and test it in WinUAE.
