Recommended games and educational software for young amigan :)
« on: November 23, 2011, 01:42:00 PM »
Have been having great fun introducing my 4yr old son to the Amiga.  He is more engaged with the games than on our wii too and prefers the traditional joypad and joystick.  Feel like he has a bit of a head start lol as I never played one till I was about 10 but never mind..

So far his favorites are Kid Chaos, Amazing Spiderman, Zool and James Pond Robocod. Micky Mouse, Snoopy, Dizzy games and Thomas Tankengine Pinball.

He also loves Deluxe paint and seems to be getting the hang of using a mouse independently with it.

Just wondering if there is any recommended simple games worth trying that other forum users children enjoy or even any worth while educational software for counting ect.  I have some Micky Mouse stuff but its all in french!

Also Postman Pat

And you could have a nice game of Barbarian against him (2player) or Archon (2player - like fighting chess but mediocre graphics, i used to play this against my parents when i was a kid!)

Don't forget rainbow islands :)

Super Bob Dylan  (on Aminet).  Great Mario Clone and a great influence for young kids!

(joking).

As for educational software...

If you can locate a PC or Amiga Miracle Piano with the cable, you'll have a wonderful musician's tool for both adult's and kids to learn from.

I have the PC version, but it works just fine with my Amiga using the Amiga Disks I grabbed off the net!

Games (Beside those already mentioned):

1. Fire and Ice
2. Pang
3. Duck Tales (Although technically poor, me and brother had great fun many many mornings....sweet times)

Hardware / Software combo:

Tekno Amiga ? (I know he's too young, but that's what I wanted but sadly never got :()

(I have now edited this post as many times as Nintendo released games with mario in)
