A1200 Timing MOD for 1260 Question
« on: September 25, 2011, 06:24:21 AM »
I just purchased a Blizzard 1260.

In anticipation of the 1260. I took apart my 1200 to do the timing mod for 040/060. I have a 1d.4 (NOS Amiga Technologies from Amigakit) motherboard and the instructions say to remove E123C and E125C.

http://www.ianstedman.co.uk/Amiga/amiga_hacks/A1200_Mobo_fix/a1200_mobo_fix.html

I just had it apart the other day to install my FastATA MKIV and bridge E127R to fix the annoying video glitches in multiscan mode (which totally worked BTW because that nonsense is gone), so I wish I would have looked into the timing mod at that point because I found out the E123C and E125C were never even populated! Unless Amigakit did it and they are the best unsolders ever...

Is that normal? Is there anything else I should check?

I'm pretty confused :)

Also. what is the BEST motherboard version for me? I was thinking of looking for another MB and making this one my backup. I'm going to using a 1260 obviously and I need the proper clockport configuration because I can't live without my USB.

Thanks,
-nate
