Token gesture bits and peices for pickup (UK)
« on: July 26, 2011, 10:22:57 PM »
Long time no post folks ;-) University's taken its toll and I think its time to pass on a few extraneous bits and pieces!

Couple of items gathering dust if anyone would like to collect them. Quite a few were bought (I.e. Junk box finds) or rescued from offices or skips but hardly used so token gestures would be very much appreciated!

- Apple Mac Quadra / Performa 630, with keyboard, mouse and VGA cable. Contains XC68LC040RC33B @ 33Mhz (Socketed) according to my notes on the back. Probably 32MB SIMM inside. Skip find, thought the processor might be some use someday. Worked when last powered up.

- CentreCOM 3024TR     24 port Ethernet 10Mbit hub, with additional BNC and AUI ports. Was hanging on to it for cards such as the A2065. Worked when last powered up, in excellent condition.

- Panasonic LM-R650E 650MB PD Cartridge

- 56K V92 Hayes modem. With serial cable but missing PSU. Need I say more?

- ISA(?) Development extension card (Vector Electronics Company 3690-26 Card Extender for IBM AT).

- Cooling fan ISA Card, full length, with two mounted fans at the end furthest away from backplane/ISA connection. Thought it might be useful in desktop Amigas with upgraded processors/PPC cards (Excuse my desktop Amiga hardware knowledge, can't remember if ISAs were fitted as standard or if a daughter board would be needed). All there is on there is two fans, two resistors, two caps, a transistor and a LED...

- TI99/4A computer, boxed. Think there's a game with it but its in the garage attic at the moment. Worked when last powered up.

- I have an assortment of various "older" inkjet cartridges in their original packaging in a lucky box. I'll list them if asked ;-)

Condition unknown unless otherwise stated. Please PM(EDIT: **Post on this thread**) be if you are interested - Collection from Carlton-In-Lindrick, nr Worksop, UK. Be advised it might take me a while to get back to you as im in the middle of a University research project.

PS. If anyone happens to be into Bluetooth, we also have a pair of nearly complete EBDK (Ericsson Bluetooth Development Kits) that are looking for a new home, though they are in my Sheffield flat at this precise moment.

EDITS: Photos added, plus the following items:
- Wordcraft Commodore software set
- Toshiba Satellite laptop with docking station (Plus FDD, but I can't seem to find it at the moment)
- Apple Mac CD-ROM mounting tray (I think)
- ***HP 64765A Intel 80188 emulation system*** (Might have docs somewhere but cannot guarantee)

Cheers,
Hodgkinson.

The EBDKs are shown in the attached photo (Sorry about the rotation) and are summarised in this document:
http://www.palowireless.com/database/ericsson/dpy_901052_r1d_pbw.pdf

I understand they have Windows 98 software with them. Can't really suggest if they might be useful as I don't know the ins and outs of software "driver" design; and of course these are dev kits so they are rather specialist and I seem to remember that they are based on the beta specifications of blue tooth from the early days.

Im also thinking of listing them in the RSGB member ads section...

Set interest for the TI-99/4a and for Bluetooth Dev Kit (depending on shipping costs).

Carlton-In-Lindrick, outside Sheffield.

By the looks of things, priority will be given to those who:
- Have a ready use for equipment, with special consideration if it might benefit the community (I.e. EBDKs)
- Can either pick up directly or can organise a courier to collect directly from my place. The only parcel service Ive ever used is Royal Mail, and whilst I appreciate offers of beer money, organising postage for something such as the TI99-4A will be expensive; and in your interests given its age I don't want anyone to fork out postage to find it dies in a few weeks time.

EBDKs: JJ Are you involved with hardware/software development yourself? Given your suggestion and the interests of the Amiga community, would you mind if I invited any other developers from overseas on a separate thread?

Will sort out a photo of the stuff in a bit.
Cheers,
Hodgkinson.

I am fine with it if it doesn't work, and postage only 10-15 on TI99 :)

A few updates:

- TI99/4A tendered to Digiman
- EBDKs tendered to JJ (As they are light I can parcel them if your interested...)

None of this is fixed yet, awaiting PM replies from the above ;-)

Anyone else seen anything of interest here?

Cheers,
Hodgkinson.

Hodgkinson.

I have never written any hardware drivers, an sfotware development is very much ( until I finish my MCTS ) geared towards a specialist system we use in  my place of work.

I was asking if it would help with bluetooth more from the point of other being able to do it.  I.e would these help other people.

I will take one of these off your hands if no one else wants them just out of my own curosity as to what something like this would contain/envolve.

But if anyone can make proper use of them ...

Thanks for the heads-up JJ. Ideally whatever happens I don't want to split the two units from one another since, for example, there is only one hard manual between the two sets. Furthermore, links can be set up between the two units, so technicially they are much more valuable together than apart.

I'll post again on the "link" thread and see if any developers are interested out there, beyond which, ognix, are you also still interested? How would you plan to ship the EBDKs?

Cheers,
Hodgkinson.
