Super Gen and Super Gen SX Manual And or Help
« on: July 31, 2011, 09:17:47 PM »
I just purchased a Super Gen and Super Gen SX, but have no manuals.

My question is if anyone has the manuals and can scan them for me, or if they could answer a question for me...

What I need to do is plug one of these into my new Chroma Key +. The Chroma Key plugs into the RGB port of the Amiga. The plug has a pass through port in which the Super Gen is supposed to plug in. Now what I want to know is if the RGB ribbon attached to the Super Gen is the part that plugs into the back of where the Chroma Key + plugs into the Amiga or if I am supposed to buy a 23 pin to 23 pin cable and use the Output Port below the cable.

Refer to image:

I'm assuming the plug under the Ribbon goes out to the monitor, that would make the most sense but I want to be sure before I try anything.

Also have any of you used a Super Gen with one of Amiga Maniac's V3.1 RGB to PAL/NTSC Adapters? What were the results? Did you have to build a separate power supply for it?

Likewise, what are the odds of this set up working with a Indivision ECS Scandoubler / Flicker Fixer (Internal)? I presume you can only see the Input from the Chroma Key + through that, and need to use the RGB out or Composite out of the Super Gen to get the whole picture?

It's been a while, but here's what I remember...

Amiga->CK+->Genlock->RGB Monitor.

The key out passthrough block from the chromakey goes to the amiga 23pin.
The genlock Amiga connector plugs into the block attached to the 23 pin.
Monitor plugs into the Genlock.

Then the video signal...
Camera->CK+->genlock->tape/monitor, etc.

I hope this makes sense.
