WANTED: Amiga 1000,2,3,4
« on: June 12, 2011, 12:45:57 AM »
NO LONGER ACCEPTING OFFERS!!!!!

UNITED STATES, AREA CODE 02356.

I had one offer from someone, but they have not responded in weeks, so I came here to see if anyone else has one.
My area code is 02356, and although I would like to find someone local, I  probably won't; so use that when calculating shipping. I have never owned any Amigas and would like one as an entry point. Due to my desk orientation, I would like to find one of the "desktop" models, so that I could simply plug in a keyboard and use it. The machine  doesn't have to be upgraded a ton or anything like that. I just want an Amiga  to use as a starting point and then upgrade the machine from  there. Monitors will just add a lot to the shipping so it does not need  to include one (I want lowest shipping possible) however, I would like  it to have a keyboard (If possible) because I don't have any compatible  ones. I am short on money currently so I can't go much above about $120, including shipping. Post and tell me what you got, and I will try and make an offer if  the shipping is reasonable. I prefer to use PayPal.

I've got an a2000D with 3.1 rom, a SCSI controller (can't remember which but can find out for you), a 2mb ram board expandable to 8mb (can't remember which but can find out for you).  It's got WB3.1 installed.

Here is the bad part...  :)

The case is in bad shape, it's missing almost all of the outside screws.  That's easy enough to fix, though.  They keyboard is missing a key or two but still works just fine.  There is also a mouse included, a 2 button "tank" mouse that works the majority of the time.  One of the floppy drives is garbage but I do have a replacement and can install it for you.  Additionally, it has the old battery on there, which will need to be removed and replaced with a new clip-on battery.  I have one of those for you and I'll include it but am apprehensive to install it, I'd rather you find a way for that to get taken care of :)

Let me know if you're interested.  I'll pm also.

:bump: I am now willing to accept any desktop model. I originally had my eye on the 2000 for it's expandability, but I would just like to find a machine that fits my space (why it must be desktop models) and low budget. Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry, no longer accepting offers! Thanks for looking!
