Heh, I bought an eMac to get into MorphOS cheaply and an Aspire One to get into AROS cheaply, and now I'm wishing I'd saved back a little for both. Mind you, MorphOS FLIES on anything you put it on, especially those old classic apps that don't make direct calls to the hardware, but the eMac has VERY dark screens, low volume, and a meager 32Mb of GFX RAM, which I thought would be more than enough considering that my real Amiga can get by on 2Mb, but apparently I was wwwaaaayyyyy wrong.
Needless to say I'm considering buying a Power Mac Tower, or a Mini Mac with 64Mb GFX RAM, not sure which yet. Also the Aspire One may well go on sell as soon as the AROS community comes together and finds a more suitable Laptop to support.
What caused them to put so much time and energy into the Aspire One in the first place?
I was going by clusteruk's videos on Youtube which made it look like it would actually be a smooth and fun experience, quite contrary to what I've experience, but on the other hand I can now at least see AROS' potential for the first time and can say I've become a believer.
