FastFileSystem
« on: December 24, 2003, 06:41:16 AM »
Yeah so like I got my Catweasel/Buddha combo card today, hardware wise it seems to function. Anyhow,  the Series II controller I've always had with my Amiga only works with its own drive formatter, so I ran HDToolBox, picked up my hardddrive perfectly, then it complained. I don't have FastFileSystem!!! (isn't even on my 3.1 disks I got from Softhut). So I tried copying it (found a copy on my Series II disk) but that file doesn't work with my HDToolBox.

Could someone send me a copy or tell me where to find it?

Thanks in Advance

Thanks, but that appears to be a patch, not a full replacement...

FastFileSystem is on the 3.1 Install Disk that comes with the 3.1 disk set.

Edit: And shouldn't it also be on the 3.x ROM?

Don't care about the complaints. It will work anyway. As pointed out before the file system is in the Kickstart ROM. You only need to store it on the hdd if you want to use a newer version.

However, FastFileSystem V40 can be found in Install3.1:L/FastFileSystem.
