Franko's Squirrels
« on: April 07, 2011, 09:32:42 PM »
I see from the news report a few of the friendly squirrels that visit your garden in Scotland  may have gone missing.

See link below

You'll have noticed that news article was from Edinburgh (ie: fur coat nae nickers / spam valley) the kind of place where the Bentley sits in the driveway but the wives have to go out at night to make a living and there's only ever Spam in the fridge... :)

So the poor little rich people have had to resort to eating squirrels cos it's cheaper than spam... :)

Gawd know's why the beeb are showing it now, it's been going on for the past 3 years, my local council have been setting up squirrel traps for that length of time only to find when they return that someone has smashed them flat with a large mash hammer... :)

My squirrels are perfectly happy and safe and growing larger in numbers all the time, cos the council gave up round here when they realised that folk actually like the wee critters (alive I mean)... :)

You should have paid attention to the content of that piece.
They're eating non-native grey squirrels.
I'm sure Franko's squirrels are good native Scotch red squirrels.

There are very few places in Scotland where there are red squirrels (99% Grey in Scotland), in fact the biggest red squirrel population to be found in the UK is way down south in Devonshire... :(

That's true in any town where there's a Chinese restaurant (and is there any town with more than 12 people that doesn't have at least one Chinese Restaurant).

Just down the road from me there are four Chinese restaurants/take aways, 3 Pizza Parlours, 2 Kebab shops, 1 Greasy Spoon Cafe and 1 Fish & Chop shop all sitting side by side... :)

It's no wonder I'm so healthy... :)

Oh yeah and 3 off licence shops, but I don't drink as it's not good for you, you know... :)

PS:Why's this thread in "Amiga general chat"... :D

@Karlos

Ahh... That's better back in the Nut Hou - I mean Coffee House... :D

Here's a wee video of Puppy one of me favourite squiggles who used to visit each day till he grew up and went off to travel the world to seek his fortune... :)

Last I heard, from him was a postcard from China where he said he'd been invited for lunch by one of the locals he met... :)

That was about a year ago, hope he's ok... :(
