The videographer of Total Smurf Chaos is crazier than Franko.
He sped everything up to make a quick video.  That is why the anims are freaky and the sound is smurfy

There are other Total Chaos vids on that channel with normal sound.

Or are they supposed to sound like 'worms'?

I am thinking of adding a highspeed sound option to make the game sound like that video.
