ADSL modem router for use with 68k browsers?
« on: March 26, 2011, 12:19:58 AM »
I remember reading this thread on another site a few years ago:  http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=26015&forum=25

I would like to get a modem router instead of the free USB modem you get for x86; however the Amiga I would like to add to the network is a 68060 running O.S. 3.9.

I'd appreciate any recommendations which are fully compatible with AWeb 3.4 SE.

Cheers.

p.s. I'm looking to pick up a cheaper wired m/router as I'll be networking via Homeplug/Powerline.

Errr, any modem and/or router which supports IPv4 and UTP cabling would work... Which basically means all.

What do you mean with compatible with AWeb? If the webinterface of the modem/router works with AWeb?

If possible, ideally, that is what I would like.

Routers don't care what type of machine is connecting to it aslong as it can connect using UTP or wireless and supports IPv4.

So what you really need is a network card that works with your Amiga.

A side note you can also telnet to the router and change it via that so doesnt really matter if the web interface works with AWeb etc.
