On Call for Help on TechTv on Thursday, the free file of the day was a bunch of cinemaware games you can download. Roger Chang, one of the guys on the show, brought in his original Rocket Ranger game box and touted the awesomeness of the Amiga and said that you should play the Amiga versions of the games (using an emulator) for the best experience.
That's pretty keen beans. Both that the Amiga and Cinemaware being mentioned, and there being an old Amigan on a national (USA) show who still thinks the Amiga's cool and who's not affraid to say it.
Leo Laporte, the host, kept laughing at the music of Defender of the Crown while they played it. But, Roger kept defending the Amiga. Very cool. He even mentioned how the Amiga had "4 voices" while the "IBM" (they had slipped into the old IBM-clone terminology at that point instead of saying "PC") back then sounded not so good. I forget the word Roger used to describe IBM sound, but it was appropriately descriptive.
