Help with Skidmarks
« on: December 13, 2003, 06:07:28 PM »
Hi!

I download Skidmarks from back2roots and the file contained the next images:

skidm1 -> main disk
skidmc1
skidmc2
skidmt1
skidmt2

I execute skidm1 and when entering the game, it asks for a track disk, but none of them works... which is the disk needed? I am using only one drive at Winuae.

thanks! :)

Oh you ment the game. Otherwise I would suggest a good washing machine and be a bit heavy on the soap.

skidmt1 or skidmt2 should either one work.

There are two track disks, and two car disks.  Whichever one(s) you insert when prompted picks which tracks and cars available for the upcoming race.

Skidmarks is a buggy program, though, to say the least.  I remember back in the day, I had to download a cracked version just to play it, despite having BOUGHT it.  Grrrr....

You may need to be in PAL, even for the NTSC version, as well.  Not one of the more intelligently coded games, but fun once it gets working.

The CD rerelease a few years ago worked pretty well. But yes, PAL is your best friend for running old-ish games.

If it wasn't for the fact that I've been beaten to it I'd be having a field day right now...
