The guy should have used a rifle. Nice clean pointy amo would make a nice hole, er, vent.

Actually, if the guy had called it quits after the first shotgun blast, he would have a case that's not only modded the easy way, but also pretty much the right way.

Those slits and little shotgun pellet holes look about right to allow for ventilation without destroying one of the main points of using a case in the first place: EM shielding with a Faraday's cage.
[ed: I agree with Argo, a bunch of .22s or unloading a mag of 5.56 mm would probably have been better yet. ;)]

Much better than those annoying 1337 gamerz who like shiny stuff so much that they destroy their cases by putting acrylic bleedin' WINDOWS in their sides! Or they buy prefabricated cases made dysfunctional the same way. Smart thinking there...
