Boboo S615 Amiga 600 Fast RAM Hardware
« on: January 23, 2011, 10:08:39 AM »
I stumbled on Boboo's http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=3094&page=2 and wondered if this was (ever?) being made/distributed in the UK?

It looks like such as simple design it can't cost much to make or duplicate  although I expect it's probably got the usual A600 seating problems.

The card is so small and balanced around the socket it seems like it should hold on pretty well, as opposed to the cards whose unbalanced weight make them pop off.

Seems like it might've gotten more attention if it were more than 2MB, though.
3 Commodore file cabinets, 2 Commodore USB turntables, 1 AmigaWorld beer mug
Alienware M14x i7 laptop running AmigaForever

You can check the progress here: http://translate.google.sk/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=sk&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=sk&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amigaportal.cz%2Fforum%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D3773

It was also mentioned also in EAB some days ago : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=57225

Peepz just need to wait for Boboo finalizing the product. I'm sure he will announce if and when he does so :)

You should still be able to use a 1-4MB PCMCIA SRAM card with this and have a maximum of 8MB all up (provided you have 2MB ChipRAM). I guess that's not too bad. Although I'm not sure if the SRAM would slow down the CPU like it does in an A1200, since this little board makes the A600 run faster than an A1200.
