Dang... I'd been looking for a spare keyboard for ages for my towered A1200 (using an old A1500 keyboard just now) and only a few days ago I finally got one on ebay for £27 ($43)...

Now another one pops up... might be tempted though if you willing to ship to the UK and the shipping cost isn't too high...

(PS:which model is it, ie: A2000, A3000, A4000...

The front shows "Commodore Amiga" without a particular model number.  The details are shown at AmiBay.  Overseas shipping will likely cost more than the keyboard itself!

The model number on your sale "KKQ-E94YC" is the same as the one I got off eBay. It was sold as being an A3000 keyboard but it's actually an A4000 keyboard (A4000 keyboards have a small 6 pin DIN connector) but can be used with an appropriate adapter than converts it to the larger (standard) 5 PIN dins used on the A2000 & A3000...

Shame the postage would be too high, but good luck with the sale...

No, this is not an A4000 keyboard.  It fits A2000/3000.  It would need an adapter to be used with the small DIN A4000 keyboard port.  I really like the feel to it -- not overly springy -- and I have an identical one that I use on my A3000.

Odd... the one I just bought has the same model number but it has the small 6 pin DIN connector (A4000) and came with the adapter to convert it to the A2000/3000...

They must've used the same model number for the UK and USA versions... :confused:

When you offer something for sale you are supposed to state what country you are in.

Have the keys ever popped off so that you could see what type of mechanism powers the keys?  I need to know which type of keys it has.  If it has the kind of keys that are compatible to my disability then I will happily buy it else not.

It's a standard A2000 keyboard with either the "buckling dome" style of spring or a spring period.  The only Amiga Keyboard that had cherry switches in it is the "small f-key" model.

EDIT EDIT:  Looks like the ones with the quacking duck for the left A also had a mechanical switch.

I donno what a cherry switch is.

The buckling rubber sleeves are crap for me.

I need the low-impact type of keyboard.  One where I can type without the keys banging into the bottom of the keyboard.

if you want a keyboard that doesn't bottom out you want one of the cherry switch models.  Those actuate before bottoming out.

The vast majority of Cherry keyboards ever sold were for the PC. Just search ebay.
