rough prices for a1200 accelerators ?

Now I know there's no absolute answers here and Ive seen massive variations, but I was wondering if anyone who's still heavily involved in the classic amiga scene can give me a rough idea of prices of a1200 accelerators ?  Im broke from now until the end of time, but I do have a birthday coming up soon and would love to upgrade my soon to arrive stock a1200 as much as possible, but before I start putting in my order for gifts with my family I'd like to know what sort of prices the gifts Im going to request have. I have literally hundreds of 72pin simms of various sizes, so Im only really interested in the value of accelerators. Ideally I'd like to start at '030, but hopefully '040 or even '060 isnt out of my reach (assuming I can find one).

'030s are pretty easy over at AmigaKit, very affordable one at only $115 or a nicer one for about twice that: http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=43

'040s and '060s are much less common, I'd expect in the area of $250-$350 for an '040 Apollo or something like that, and a Blizzard 1260 will probably be in the $400-$500 range (all USD.)

For the money, I'd say the $115 one at AmigaKit would be a good choice, it'll make a very usable machine.

 Both appear to be faster than the older Amiga accelerators. No FPU though. Dunno about 040/060, Amibay will brobably give you an idea, or perhaps someone else on here.

I guess the reason Im leaning towards something faster is that my last 2 a1200 accelerator cards where a 50mhz blizzard mk4 and a bppc (25mhz '040/175mhz 603e), so I know I probably wont be content with anything below a 50mhz '030, and even then Id prefer something a little faster. I have no interest in ppc these days, but Id like to get the best card possible while I have the chance rather than using something temporarily only to want to upgrade it a little later.

That said however, thanks for the responses and I suspect I'll end up with an ACA card if I can find nothing else before it comes time to make the purchase (I have about 3 weeks). Any extra money could always be put towards some other form of expansion if it comes to that as well I suppose.

With the rate those new ACA boards at Amikit have been going in an out of stock, I'm wondering if any will be left in 3 weeks?. I ordered the low end 030/28 and still waiting for it to be delivered.

you have the okay priced ACA030 at 56mhz and 64mb. but then again maybe that will be something temporarily and you want to upgrade to a blizzard 1260. the best option before going ppc... a blizzard 1260 with fpu at 66mhz with the scsi kit and 128mb of ram (64+64 option) is just awsome but it may take some time to hunt down and can be a bit expensiv...

Me too, although the ACA boards are really well priced (especially that 030/28) I already own a 030/50, and as i'm a demo scene whore, I could really do with someone making a new card that's meatier.

The 030s from amigakit are very very very nice for "classic" amiga stuff. I imagine they'll drag for "bleeding edge classic" though.

Blimey, the A1200 040/40MHz/FPU accelerator I bought over ten years ago has kept its value!

Sometimes is posible to get apollo range accelerators quite economy prize.

IF your a1200 doesn't have zorro expanders etc I would suggest you to get apollo 040/060. They feels so much faster than blizzard cards, beecausethey have faster access to chip ram and chip ram speed is biggest bottleneck so...

When I get my blizzard (060), I first thought that it must be broken because of speed difference.
