Whdload does not work well, but some games will work, especially with a PCMCIA SRAM card to add some fast mem.
I have empirical evidence to the contrary. With KS3.1 (v40.63) and an A608 RAM card I was hard pressed to find titles that didn't work. Take the top 20 WHDload Amiga games and I bet 16+ work.

I had trouble with some and I had 4mb fast 2 chip.  Seems an 020+ helps a lot.

8mb fast would really help with the preload games and make them run smooth.  In fact, some games would not run unless I could preload them.

Point is,  too many issues and restrictions with a stock 68000.  An 030 is very welcome for the 600!

I havent tried everything, but honestly an 030 is compatible with most stuff.

Kickstart 2.x is going to be more trouble than the 030 is.

The RAM is more than you will know what to do with, but having some spare is never a bad idea.
