Classic WB on OS3.9? And Copper?
« on: January 02, 2011, 09:30:00 PM »
First off, is it possible to install Classic WB over a OS 3.9 install? I tried to do a fresh install of Classic WB onto my 8Gb CF card, but I forgot that Workbench 3.1 does not like Hard Drives larger than 4Gb.

Secondly, I noticed that Classic WB has something called COPPER which makes the 1200 looks like ..

...well lets say Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album.

I didn't see a direct link to that on Aminet, where can I find it?

Thank you!

Good question, don't know, but I thought I'd share this with you:

When I installed ClassicWB AGA on my A4000 I used a 2GB CF card after creating the hard file on WinUAE using the ClassicWB download and my OS3.9 CD.  I coped the contents of the hard file to a USB stick, then copied it over the top of an OS3.1 install on a 2GB CF card with Deneb drivers from the USB stick, installed SFS on the CF card, partitioned an 80GB drive into 3 partitions making 1 bootable, used DOPUS to copy the contents of the small drive onto the large drive and then put the CF card safely to one side to use as an "emergency restore disk".

"Copper" does look interesting, but I went for a 1920x1080 RTG display with nice wallpaper instead.  :-D
