Howto Unlock a Compact Flash Card?
« on: January 02, 2011, 03:10:16 AM »
I have a Sandisk CF Card I'd like to use with my card reader on my Amiga.

It has worked fine on the 1200, but the 600 reads the card as pure garbage, all file names scrambled, all files corrupted.

XP will not let me format, and WinUAE tells me the card is locked. HD Partitioning software in windows will not let me delete the partition and create a new one.

Anyone got an idea how to resolve this?
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

A good program for SD cards is 'SDFORMATTER'

Use 'dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/..' and format tools under unix for less operating system BS.
