What Amiga games would you like recoded(properly!)?

Well I've seen a thread with requests for games you wish converted to Amiga. But this thread is for people who had to suffer the shame of low colour rubbish ST-ports of games for nearly most of the A500/1000s life. So what games do you wish were reprogrammed to the maximum abilities of OCS by expert coders/artists/musicians.

I'll kick it off with 3 I really hate how they turned out.

1. Outrun-A turd on a disk and a good reason why people started pirating games when £25 got them this joke of a conversion. The music is a joke too.

2. Chase HQ - again graphically looks nothing like the arcade and makes the Amstrad 8bit conversion from Ocean look like it was coded by alien intelligence.

3 Gauntlet 2 - hmmm backwards step from the original conversion for the Atari ST! 2 colour tiles, shrunken screen. It actually looks worse than Gauntlet on the plain vanilla ST with no blitter, no DACs and only has 16 colours on screen in a lower resolution!

(both of the above racing games are clearly possible to be improved on looking at Outrun on the Megadrive/Genesis and then Lotus II on same machine compared to Amiga).

Sim City could have looked a hell of a lot nicer, though apparently the NTSC version has more colour than the PAL version.

Not OCS, but the AGA version of Civilization was pretty disappointing for an AGA version. A tiny bit of animation but otherwise looks the exact same.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo! The Amiga version is a badly coded abomination.

Games like Barbarian 1 (Psygnosis) or Rolling Thunder spring to mind, which have jerky scrolling and not enough frames of animation (and RT enemies are all the same colour unlike eg. the coin-op), but which are decent games apart from that.
I thought Chase HQ was a reasonable conversion, it seems others don't agree though.

A proper port of Strider would be nice. Though I guess Assassin did a pretty slick job :)

What was that Amiga demo that had one of the end of level boss's as a huge animation like the arcade version filling the screen called? Then I knew US Golds strider was a rip-off when I saw the same end of level boss half the size lol

Bionic Commandos- Had ST source code so the scrolling hardware wasn't even used! (but they charged us £5 extra!!)

ALL the Street Fighter games on Amiga are done badly I think. Even SF 1 :(

If I find some nice SNES sprite rips and background graphics I might see how fast Blitz Basic can animate and move everything on a stock A1200 one day :)

edit:Didn't those two at EAB convert SF2 DX to CD32 or was it a simple porting of A1200 code to work via CD-ROM warts and all?

Play the ST version of Chase HQ and the play Lotus II on Amiga and ST and you will see what we are all talking about.

Plus the fact the Porsche looks nothing like it does in the arcade either. It's not because it runs slowly it's because it is using ST graphics and program code a lot so is not an 'Amiga game' to me ;)
