The Newcastle Turd Monster.

Are you sure that this is an urban legend and not just a story your parents told you? I can find no references to the newcastle turd monster except here.

When I was younger there was this urban legend about a birdman (not the one in the cartoon) that lived in rural areas. I remember a local program (Reportajes de Alvarado) doing a show about it, some locals said they had seen it (no doubt, with high levels of alcohol in their bloodstream).

There is also the one about meat taking 7 years to digest.  It is particularly popular with dull witted vegetarians.  This one is a favorite of mine because it proves that I have super powers.  Hear is how I figure it giving them the benefit of the doubt about being right.

I eat ~2.5 pounds of meat a day.
2.5 lbs of meat X 365 days a year X 7 years = 6387.5 pounds of meat in 7 years.
Assuming that the meat digests at a linear rate, that means that 50% of it is in my system at any one time. So, 6387.5 pounds / 2 = 3193.75 pounds. We can round to 3194 to keep things simple.

Since the urban legend puts me at 3194 pounds, and every scale I step on puts me at ~220 pounds, that means that I must have the super power of levitation, but my powers only allow me to levitate 2974 pounds.

Now, it certainly would be more useful if my super powers were just a little stronger, but really, who can complain when they are bestowed with the power to levitate 2974 pounds?

Great stuff guys but i must admit i'm a little disappointed. Amigans have always prided themselves on creativity but going by the resonable lack of Urban Legend contributions on this thread i guess i was wrong....  :(

Has anyone heard about the ghost in the Amiga....
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.
