Stick to the rarer machines. You can boast a lot, but at the same time save space.
At most get two souped up A1200s/A500s (one spare) for playing games on.
Keep them in good order so you can turn them into cash fast when you eventually find a piece of electronics that will move your taste in a different direction.

Get rid of PC's to make room for the miggy's :)

Set yourself a limit that you'll only buy machines to actually use. Rather one miggy that gets love every day than 10 collecting dust

My Amiga addiction seriously got out of hand.  I had up to 10 different Amiga's (all models) at one time.  I finally had enough and sold 8 of them.  I now own my trusty 2000 and 3000 and that is it.

Trust me if you only had 10 different amigas, this was not a addiction.

Well I bought a "Cartoon Classics" boxed A500. Sadly it was not the A500 Plus I wanted (and used to own plus 2MB chip), didn't have any of the original software and has a duff modulator (rectified - I just bought one from ebid). The machine is completely non-yellowed however.

The 501 looks like it might be on it's way out but I'll add solder and lacquer it to get a few more months/years.

Really don't know why I bought it apart from price (£10, or about $17). I use my good condition 600 for games, 1200 is the gem in the collection and stored away, and the 500 will be "throw around" - probably... hopefully not throw out.

At this point I'm thinking I should have used the space for a C64...
A600 (3.48/4.46 MIPS) - 2MB Chip, 4MB PCMCIA, 11MB Fast, ACA-620 OC 680EC20@16.67/25MHz, RTC, 512MB CF HD, WB 2.1
A1200 (7.36 MIPS) - 2MB Chip 8MB Fast, MTEC Viper 68030@42MHz MMU, 68882 FPU, RTC, 1GB CF HD, T.Turbo 2, 2 Ext. Floppies, WB 3.0.
Atari 520 STFM - 1MB, Multiface ST.
Commodore 16 - 64K Mod, SD2IEC Drive
Commodore 64C - 64K, SD2IEC Drive
ZX Spectrum 48K Rubber Key - 48K, Composite Mod
ZX Spectrum +2B - 128KB
ZX Spectrum +3 - 128KB, DivIDE+ 64MB CF HD, Multiface 3.

I don't see this as a "problem".
You see them.
You buy them.
You use them.
No "problem"

I no longer have any real" hardware (apart fom a dead A500 motherboard on my workshop wall).

Used to own 4 A500's with various add-ons and an 030 A1200, but sold them all to good homes.  I regret that sometimes when the nostalgic urge hits, but I'm happier knowing the people who bought them will use them more than I did.  To me it's sadder to have the hardware but hardly ever use it, than it is to not have any and occasionally miss it.

Having said that, I'd still grab cheap/free Amiga hardware when it pops up.  ;)
