Original Commodore PC cases for sale
« on: October 24, 2010, 10:55:34 AM »
Hi:
I was searching at Ebay and have found two fantastic items from the same seller:

An original Commodore mousepad (which I've already bought):

It's here:
http://cgi.ebay.es/2x-ORIGINAL-Commodore-Gaming-mauspad-mousepad-Amiga-C64-/330484835002?pt=Klassische_Computer&hash=item4cf26e62ba

This is what he says:
I'm offering a couple of brand new ORIGINAL Commodore Gaming mouse mats / mousepads. These are the last existing ones, directly from the former manufacturer. That's why I sell them in a couple as they'll never be produced again in the future and you have one spare then.

And a fantastic Commodore PC Case that would look FANTASTIC in any amiga project:

They are here:
http://cgi.ebay.es/Commodore-Gaming-PC-Case-550W-Ice-Cube-original-box-/330484826528?pt=Klassische_Computer&hash=item4cf26e41a0

This is what he says about them (very interesting):
I'm offering brand new and boxed Commodore Gaming PC cases, but also possible to install an Amiga board instead of a PC in it for example. In the year 2007 Commodore planned a Gaming PC. Due to the fact that the Computer itself was roughly overpriced they'd given up the project, but already produced the cases for it. These cases aren't available anymore (except from a few persons who have a few pieces) and I'm proud to say that I have the very last remaining available, directly from the manufacturer.

The cases are with an awesome design and are coming with an 550W PSU which have a peltier style Ice Cube cooler, LED fan in the front and an 120x120mm fan in one side. There are two USB, one FireWire and Audio connectors in the front.

The case is Midi-Tower size and has got a nice front door. This one can be COMPLETELY opened. Between the case and the door is enough space to use the front connectors even with closed door! Looks nice, and is also very comfortable due to the high quality hinges.

Do you like them?

I don't know. He says directly from the manufacturer, and he is in Schleswig Holstein, Germany.

Nope, those are from "Commodore-Gaming", got one from a collective order on a1k.org. Really high quality build and looks kinda cool.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Just guessing, but given that his user page under "Interests" reads as "Look at my avatar", I'd guess that's his missus.

Either that, or someone needs to break out the admiral akbar image right about now ;)

Yup, I remember asking myself exactly what the hell Commodore was thinking when they entered the crowded 'IBM clone' market.
