Quickie (oo-er) - PPC in standard A1200D?

Can I stick a PPC w/ 040 in a desktop A1200, or will it be farrrr to hot?

I ran one with an 060 in a desktop A1200.

Acording to the booklet i have for mine you should only use it in a tower the 040,s get far to hot for a desktop case not sure about the 060 s on the ppc card also it might be a tight fit if you try it raise the machine and put a large fan blowing air up from the bottom of the case onto the card. :-)

I have recently tried and I have failed. Well, I have failed with a BVisionPPC connected to it. Running the BlizzardPPC without the BVisionPPC gives you a much better chance.

But even then. The 040 gets really hot so you will only be killing the card in the end which would be a shame.

Ran mine in the desktop, and it melted... I decided to leave the trapdor open after that and rested the 040 on a Tungsten Block as a sink.
