Amigasys amistart problems/questions?
« on: September 30, 2010, 01:09:24 PM »
I am trying out amigasys and I really like it, but when I drag and drop icons from the amistart bar, then reboot it does not save the state of the amistart bar. In other words, when I reboot it goes back to default state it came it, and my dragged icons are gone.

Can someone tell me how I can fix this? Refreshing taskbar, the icons are there, but after reboot... bye bye.

Also, can someone tell me how I can get rid of the fancy os4 window borders? I'd rather have plain old os3.x window decorators or borders....?

You've got further than me.  Every time I've tried installing it on a real Amiga I've ended up with errors in the installer script and reports of read errors on my hard drives (no matter what hard drive I use).  I gave up and stuck with Classic Workbench.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

Well this is strange but now it saved my changes, somehow.

Its wierd, but it may have something to do with how long its there, or something else not sure...

I refreshed the amistart bar 10 times, reset workbench 10 times, rebooted, and it saved the changes I made to the start bar this time.

Would be nice to know how/why for future... I'm not done modding things yet...
