For sale: MIDI Interface and Akai sampler
« on: January 08, 2012, 10:56:02 PM »
Datel MidiMaster and Akai s3000xl Sampler for sale. The last of the great hardware samplers, it has 10 seperate balenced outputs! Also SCSI Zip drive for storing samples and projects on. I also have an old Mac running OS9 which connects to the sampler allowing parameters to be altered using the MESA suite included.

£150 ono for the lot.

Wow! That Akai was some serious bit of kit a few years ago!

It really, really was mate. And still is. Just have to sell everything to get a car, I fully intend on getting another one as soon as I get a bit of money again. I have it going through a 24 channel desk with outboard processors, controlled from either an Amiga or a Yamaha sequencer. Endless fun for all the family!!

Ugh! I feel the pain, all my hardware had to go a few years back (kept my Roland W30 though)... I had to consolidate my production setup and cover bills/rent... Running Reason on a laptop became the only rational solution for me (excuse the pun) :(

What it lacked in charm and character, it made up for in versatility... I was sorely tempted to buy an Emax II recently ;)
