I saw Workbench 2000 (a utility to put a "Windows style" start bar onto the Amiga Workbench screen) and thought I'd add it to my Classic AGA workbench to replace AmiDock.
However, it is giving me all sorts of hell. The most up-to-date "full" package on AmiNet is v1.7 and it works perfectly unless I try and click on the "configure" icon next to the clock. When I do that it open a "confing workbench 2000" window in the center of the screen and the progress bar moves up within it until it almost reaches then end... and then it locks up with an hourglass. As I said, apart from that it works fine and I can rename items by clicking on them on the START button, etc.
I tried the v1.9 update which simply consists of 3 files: 2 langague files and a replacement workbench2000.cd file. No change.
I tried the earlier v1.1 package. That allows me to enter the configuration utility and make changes, but if I try and use START button's top 2 options then I either get a repeating yellow "wipe" down my Workbench screen, a complete system lock-up or a software failure.
Any ideas? Cheers.
